So what is it that you do for work SaveNH? Are you gainfully employed or another bum living off the rest of us that has a whole lot of time on his hands to complain, complain, complain. My guess is that you don't even own a home or have a job.
Most of the people out there that have a job, a house and health insurance are not the people that complain about what everyone else is not doing. |

Hey SaveNH, have I missed something? Have MCTV employees not been doing their jobs? I watch city and school meetings that take place at night, sporting events that take place on the weekend, holiday events that take place on holidays, and of course those of us that love sports watch the Turkey Bowl which takes place on Thanksgiving Day. It seems that the employees of MCTV are pretty darn dedicated. Maybe this is why they make more than employees at MCAM? MCTV employees travel all around the city, all different times of the day and night, weekends, holidays, and emergencies. News Flash: If you want people to constantly put their lives on hold you do need to pay them for it. Other professions have shift differentials, do MCTV employees receive shift differentials? Are they paid hourly or are they salaried?
How many nights, weekends and holidays are employees of MCAM working (or have worked)? Looks to me that MCAM is barely ever open (even when there wasn't a budget crisis). All that MCAM employees have to do is sit in their castle and wait for people to come to them.
The stations missions are totally different. The jobs are totally different. The commitment of employees is totally different. The pay should be different. |

Yup, you missed something (intentionally), they have too large a staff, a highly priced duplicate staff to MCAM, and most of the programs people are praising on here is done by volunteers.
Simply put, we can get the same level of programming and quality without the high cost of Grace Sullivan and crew. Don't brag to anybody about their programming, because with the high amount of money they cost they should produce quality.
Geting rid of them will save the taxpayers of Manchester over a QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR - and that is a good thing in these hard times. City workers should be subject to the same hardships as the majority in the private sector.

What I am pissed off about are the Republican dogs on Mcam right now. Jasmine the American Eskimo dog ranting about her views on abortion. So then I decided to turn it to MCTV to view what the Democrats have to say tonight only to view the memorial football team and their views on heathcare. Robby you are correct, I don't know why I ever trashed on you. |
